Partly because of a very limited water supply, it was a very weary, tired, and dehydrated version of our group that finally stumbled into base camp. But we had made it, and none of that mattered now! In the end, I'm really very glad that I went to Philmont. I don't know if I will try to go again on another troop crew, but I do think it is an experience that every scout should have. And I will remember the Philmont scenery and the Philmont challenge for the rest of my life.
