Cimaroncito Resevoir: We didn't actually see this until the next day, but it was such a pretty picture, I had to put it in somewhere.

Tuesday, July 1 - Wednesday, July 2

Today was a hard day of hiking. Although our hike wasn't particularly long, we started late in the day and were trying hike quickly in order to arrive in time for the program. In addition, we had to pick up food at Ute Gulch, and go to our camp at Webster Parks for the night. As we were walking into Cimaroncito, though, less then a quarter mile away, one crew member was stricken with nausea. The mandatory group of four stayed behind with him, while the rest went on to catch the program. They barely made it, squeezed in at the last second by some quick talking. In addition, the camp director managed to get us a spot in camp that night, so we didn't have to stay at an unstaffed, dry camp. The tail group made it into camp an hour behind the first when the scout recovered. We began setting up camp and took advantage of the extra time to take a shower (no soap, though, because of the bears). That night, we all tried to catch up on sleep, because our next day was a long eleven miles.
